Today, Rei and I were working on announcement posts together!
Blog updates, song news, event info...
MixPalette actually has a lot to announce.
So today, we held a proper strategy meeting!
🩵 Ruka: "First, we need something eye-catching!"
💙 Rei: "Information should be brief and accurate."
🩵 Ruka: "Right, right. And cute!"
💙 Rei: "If necessary."
🩵 Ruka: "It is necessary!"
The first sentence Rei wrote was extremely simple.
💙 Rei: "A new blog post is up. Please check it out."
🩵 Ruka: "So short!"
💙 Rei: "The necessary information is there."
🩵 Ruka: "I mean, yes, but it needs more excitement!"
So I added a little Ruka-style sparkle.
🩵 Ruka: "We posted a new blog! ✨ Please check it out 💕"
💙 Rei: "Too many emojis."
🩵 Ruka: "This is normal!"
💙 Rei: "Is it?"
Rei is really strict about wording.
But honestly, that's why the message doesn't get messy.
So we tried fixing it together.
💙 Rei: "We should include whose episode it is."
🩵 Ruka: "That's good! Then people know what they're clicking."
💙 Rei: "And keep the final line simple."
🩵 Ruka: "Okay, okay. Not too flashy."
💙 Rei: "Exactly."
After a few edits, the announcement finally looked pretty good.
Short, but clear.
Cute, but not too much.
🩵 Ruka: "This feels good!"
💙 Rei: "Not bad."
🩵 Ruka: "That means it's good, right?"
💙 Rei: "Interpret it however you want."
Then Mashiro came over to check on us.
🤍 Mashiro: "Did you finish the announcement text?"
🩵 Ruka: "Yes!"
💙 Rei: "Please check it."
Mashiro looked at the screen for a moment.
Then she smiled.
🤍 Mashiro: "Very nice. Then let's make a Japanese version..."
🩵 Ruka: "Okay!"
🤍 Mashiro: "And an English version..."
💙 Rei: "That makes sense."
🤍 Mashiro: "And let's also make a shortened version."
🩵 Ruka: "A shortened version!?"
🤍 Mashiro: "X has a character limit, after all."
🩵 Ruka: "...Oh."
💙 Rei: "Good thing we kept it short from the start."
🩵 Ruka: "That somehow annoys me!"
In the end, we made a long version, a short version, a Japanese version, and an English version.
Announcement posts are deeper than I thought.
But I don't hate this kind of work.
If we're going to send something out...
I want it to reach people properly.
🩵 Ruka: "Alright! Next time, let's make it even more viral!"
💙 Rei: "First, make it accurate."
🩵 Ruka: "Yes, yes, Rei-sensei."
💙 Rei: "I'm not your teacher."
🤍 Mashiro: "Then I'll ask you both to handle the next announcement too."
🩵 Ruka: "Eh!? Already the next one!?"
💙 Rei: "...The workload increased."
Mashiro always assigns more work with such a gentle smile.
